Shake Shack has his sights set on the massive expansion of his popular burger chain.
Shake Shack revealed Monday that the company increased its goal of company-operated restaurants in the U.S. to “at least” 1,500 over the long term.
This would represent an increase of almost 356% over the number of hamburger restaurants currently operating in the US

Its U.S. footprint included 329 company-operated locations by the end of fiscal 2024, Shake Shack said. The burger chain is also available outside of America, with more than 200 restaurants spread across numerous international markets.

“Since the company’s founding in 2004, Shake Shack has been on a continuous journey to expand the way we bring enlightened hospitality to our guests and elevate our team members and our communities. We are proud to announce that we ended fiscal year 2024 with 329 company-operated huts with a significant improvement in our profitability and yields,” said CEO Rob Lynch. “However, we believe we are just getting started and see a broad runway for growth ahead.”

The new figure would represent a big jump from the 450-restaurant long-term goal that Shake Shack outlined when it also went public a decade ago.
Shake Shack told FOX Business it was “pursuing 20 priority markets and growing more in its existing regions.”
Shake Shack also said Monday that over the next three years, it believes it can achieve total revenue growth in the “low-teens percent” and adjusted EBITDA growth “in the low- and mid-teens percent range.”
