Senegal: Ousmane Sonko’s General Political Statement for 2050, Prime Minister Calls for Repeal of Macky Sall’s Amnesty Law




Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko addressed the National Assembly this Friday to present the government’s general policy. Sonko highlighted key reforms such as tackling unemployment and migration, guided by the 2050 vision that now serves as the executive’s roadmap for public policy in the country. He also said his government would introduce legislation to repeal the controversial law granting amnesty to former president Macky Sall for three years of political violence that led to dozens of deaths.
