Senegal: Initiative to develop surfing among young people




Senegal is known for its lively surf scene, and the powerful Atlantic swells along the coast of West Africa offer the perfect conditions for sports. However, limited approach to equipment, training and capabilities often tend to tend to be stuck to the side. That could change soon, since Senegal’s first professional surfers, Ibra Samb and Charif Fall, the leading new initiative to enter a surfing board and help the next generation to drive the waves. Our correspondent Caitlin Kelly reports from Dakar.
