In the ongoing third match of the 2026 T20 World Cup, the United States cricket team performed brilliantly at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Before Surabh, Sri Lankan player Sanath Jayasuriya held the record for conceding the most goals in a T20 World Cup match. The former Sri Lanka batsman conceded 64 runs in 4 overs against Pakistan in 2007.

Suryakumar Yadav slams US bowlers

Against Netravalka, the Indian batsmen did the same thing. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma smashed the seamers and had big hits in the short innings. But it was Suryakumar Yadav (84*), the best performer of the match, who gained the most from the out-of-form bowler. Yadav hit three fours and one six in the 16th over. In the 20th over, the batsmen hit two sixes and a four against the American bowlers.

The momentum the US gained was lost in the second session against an experienced Indian bowling attack. The US national cricket team managed only 132 for eight in the 20-over limit, compared to India’s 161. India won the first match of the 2026 T20 World Cup by 19 runs.
