The highly anticipated Arman Tsarukyan vs. Shara Magomedov wrestling match finally took place at Hype FC, but it didn’t live up to expectations.

Tsarukyan is the top-ranked fighter in the UFC’s lightweight division and has been competing for the title. Dana White Doesn’t seem keen on giving.

Magomedov is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC, competing in the middleweight division.

Chalukian actually performed better than his heavyweight opponent in this fight. The Armenian even knocked Magomedov to the ground late in the first round. However, what caught many people off guard was that it was only one round.

Additionally, the ring does not appear to be set up for a fighting competition, and many people can be seen standing next to the ring ropes. Additionally, the match was called a draw, presumably because no one got submitted.

Daniel Cormier for Arman Tsarukyan vs. Ilia Topuria

Current UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria will not be competing for quite some time. The champion is dealing with some personal issues and the promotion has set up an interim title match between Justin slave and Paddy Pimblett Keep the department moving forward.

Ideally, Tsarukyan should be the next in line for a title shot after defeat Dan Hooker. However, he has been busy competing in wrestling, and Daniel Cormier believes the number one contender should fight Topria.

In an interview with Red Corner in Thailand, Cormier calls for Topriya vs. Charukian fight:

“Listen, man, this guy is probably the best lightweight in the world since Islam is gone. He’s a really good guy. He’s big, he’s strong, he’s got great physicality. The champion Ilia Topuria is very good… I think they need a fight at some point.”

Cormier mentioned the great performances of Pimblett and Gaethje, but still wants to see Topuria against Tsarukyan:

“Paddy Piblett is great, Justin Gaethje is great, (but) Oman and Ilya seem to have something, not just skill-wise, but between the two we can have a great battle around that. So, yeah, I think Oman is a great guy.”
