Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim delivered an upbeat message to supporters ahead of his side’s year-end Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Monday.
Not much has happened for the incoming coach to get excited about during his first month in charge. Amorim have lost five of their opening ten matches – the Worst record ever of any United manager in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

The 39-year-old head coach added: “I’ve seen enough in the last few weeks that we have a lot of the ingredients we need to be successful, and I’m confident that I’ve been here on my first day that we’ve achieved that.”
Amorim started his tenure with two wins and a draw but warned at the time that a “storm” was on the horizon. That prediction has been emphatically proven correct by the subsequent run of five losses in seven games.
