Rotten Tomatoes refuted claims that the “Melania” movie’s audience ratings were artificially inflated. The film has one of the largest gaps in Rotten Tomatoes history, with a difference of more than 93 percentage points between critics and audiences.
This movie tells the story of the first lady Melania Trump 20 days before President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. As of Friday, the show had a critical score of 6% and a ratings rating of 99%.
Versant, the parent company of Rotten Tomatoes, has denied any tampering with the score, telling Variety “No robot manipulation” audience comments.
“The comment shown on the popcorn meter is verified reviewswhich means it has been confirmed that the user has purchased a movie ticket,” they added.
