NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell talked about the league’s hiring cycle, which included firing half of its black coaches and having none of the 10 open positions hired. Entering the 2026 season, there are only three Black coaches, Aaron Glenn, Todd Bowles and DeMeco Raines.
Goodell was asked about diversity in the NFL after no Black coaches were hired this cycle.

Roger Goodell praises Bad Bunny ahead of Super Bowl halftime show in Puerto Rico

Roger Goodell continues to defend the NFL’s decision to have Bad Bunny headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show despite scrutiny over the move.
“Bad Bunny is one of the greatest artists in the world, which is one of the reasons we chose him, but another reason is that he understands the platform he’s on,” Goodell said.
“This platform is about uniting people and being able to bring people’s creativity, their talent together, and being able to use this moment to do that. I think artists in the past have done that. I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he’s going to have a great show.”
