“I did not view the DHS funding vote as a referendum on the illegal and unethical behavior of ICE in Minneapolis,” Suozzi said in a statement. “I heard the anger of my constituents and I accept responsibility for it. I have long been critical of ICE’s illegal behavior, and I must do a better job of making the case.”
