The indie gaming news is flying APART of Nintendo’s activity today at a rapid pace. One of the cues from the rhythm game Rattanwhich will be released on July 16. The title will arrive that day on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It’s now available on PC since September as an early access game.
Unfortunately, readers may notice that the original Switch is not on the list, which is not an oversight. “At this time, we know that the multiplayer experience on Nintendo Switch has not yet reached the level of quality that we aim to deliver,” the team said in a post on Steam. “As a result, we have decided not to proceed with a Nintendo Switch version for the time being.”
We are first taking our hands Rattan during the Summer Games Fest 2025. Although the Ratata Arts studio may not be familiar, this group includes some devs from the team that created the Patapon games, a series that began in 2007. That generation is clear in the core concept and in the small brain-breaking level of attention required to keep your small army of Cobuns in sync and on the beat. Rattan brings some roguelite and RPG customization into the mix with familiar rhythm mechanics.
