Signing the Dutch-born number nine from the Premier League side would be a statement for Rohr’s side, much like signing Skov Olsen from Wolfsburg.

As mentioned before, Rangers’ chances of acquiring the Dane’s services were due to his disappointing performances in the Bundesliga, one of Europe’s major leagues, and the same goes for Pirro.

The Leeds striker made 12 appearances in all competitions this season, with no goals or assists, and therefore failed to advance to the Premier League, but he will become the Championship’s top scorer at the end of the 2024/25 season.

The former Swansea star may not have been an attainable target for the club last summer given his impressive goalscoring record in England, but his difficult season in the Premier League has opened the door to a loan deal, much like Skov Olsen’s performances in the Bundesliga.

Pirro’s struggles in the Premier League, and his links to the 49ers, provide the Rangers with a prime opportunity to sign a prolific center to bolster their roster on a statement loan deal.

While the German appears to be their priority target, he would be a better signing than Naderi as the 22-year-old has never played above the German third tier and has never scored more than eight goals in a season, meaning he has yet to display the qualities that Pirro has shown throughout his career.
