While Rangers’ latest signings have rightly come under scrutiny and serious questions have been asked of sporting director Kevin Thelwell, there is one particular area where the club still excels; identifying on-loan attackers.
Over the past four seasons, Rangers have loaned out a quality attacker each time, as the table below shows.

As the table highlights, Rangers have brought in a senior attacker on a season-long loan in each of the last four seasons.
Amad is perhaps the outlier on this list, having made little impact during his six months in Glasgow, although he went on to become a key figure in Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim.
Since then, Malik Tillman, Abdallah Sima and Vaclav Cherny have combined for at least 17 goals and assists in one season at Ibrox, with the latter being the most prolific of them all, having impressed during a season on loan from Wolfsburg, a big loss to join Besiktas rather than return this summer.
Now, can the current members of the Rangers squad keep the brilliant attacker on loan?
Rangers’ latest loan star
Of course, the whole Rangers team has improved since Rohr was replaced. Russell Martin Last month was certainly a low bar, but the most improved player was Mikey Moore.
The teenager scored his first goal for the club at Dens on Sunday, which flew into Jon McCracken’s corner to double the Gers’ lead.
Since Rohr arrived in Glasgow, the Englishman has looked sharper before opening his account.
Speech during sky sports’ Chris Sutton claims in reports that he is “thriving” and reaching his full potential under Rohr, while James McFadden notes that he is enjoying more freedom under the German coach and predicts he will only continue to get better in the coming weeks.
When the 18-year-old joined from Tottenham Hotspur in August, he had a reputation for having played just 815 minutes in the senior team.
After joining, then head coach Martin commend His ‘huge potential’, says Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig label He is known as the “British Neymar”.
Despite his slow start at Ibrox, only two Rangers players in the Premier League, Gassama and Celo Asgard, have a higher rate of successful dribbles per 90, an early sign that he is ready to make a big impact.
As already mentioned, scoring goals is one of the main problems for this team.
In all games, only the captain James Tavernier,Gasama, Danilo Youngster Findley Curtis has scored more than two goals so far, with the goal against Dundee being Moore’s first of the season.
As a result, the 18-year-old has the opportunity to take on the responsibility and become a truly integral figure in the team’s attack, following in the footsteps of other senior loan forwards such as Simma, Tillman and Czerny.
