Rams’ Puka Nacua stars in Super Bowl ad with Toyota

Puka Nacua might not play this year Super Bowlbut it will still be on TV during the game.

The Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver got the nod to be in a Toyota commercial during the big game.

“I think that still counts towards being in the Super Bowl, so I’m fine with that,” Nacua joked.

It remains to be seen what the announcement will hold, but Nacua hinted that it is approaching infancy.

“We have some great athletes representing Toyota. The story of the connection, I think, is what you’re going to hear,” Nacua said. “The opportunity to connect with your younger self with the passion that drives you to be a great athlete, a great human being, and to give back the opportunity to have someone, to be your younger self, to look at that younger person and say, ‘These are the things I would have done. What if I had the information I have now?”

“And to be able to do that with Toyota taking care of me and being able to take care of other people who have been in my life and my fans is a great feeling.”

Nacua also appeared on Wednesday night Toyota Glow-Up Classican all-girls glow-in-the-dark flag football game as a coach.

“I had a lot of fun. They were throwing bombs,” he said. “I came out and said, ‘Hey, the first play has to be a double play,’ and the girl said, ‘Yeah, coach.’ And I said, ‘That’s the kind of energy I need.’ And they were out there having fun.

“We had a touchdown celebration with the Toyota Tundra on the side. Michael Pittman was very sad. Jordan Lovethey were so sad that we beat them, but the girls were doing good dances. I had a great time.”

Nacua seemed far more satisfied with his skills on the field than his acting.
