Doha, Qatar – Kathari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said that Arab and Islamic states condemn Israel’s “barbarous” attacks on Qatar and would support Doha to safeguard its sovereignty.

“We thank the unity of the Arab and Islamic countries and the friendly countries of the international community for condemning the barbaric Israeli attack,” Mohammed said on Sunday. “It expresses full support for us and the legitimate legal measures we will take to safeguard our country’s sovereignty.”

Prime Minister Kathari summoned the foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries in Doha to comment after his leaders held an emergency summit on Monday in response. Israeli attack last week.

Meanwhile, the United States remains a strategic partner in Qatar, a relationship that dates back to the 1970s, adding that Tuesday’s attacks are unlikely to change the link between Washington and Doha.

Al-Mudahka also hopes that despite Israel’s attack on Doha, there will be a chance to continue the ceasefire in Gaza at the summit.

“I hope this summit is also a way…(end) the Gaza War.”
