Punxsutawney Phil attends ‘Groundhog Day’


Every February 2 since the late 1880s, people have gathered in the town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to watch a prairie dog be pulled from its burrow and presented to the crowd. Legend has it that if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, winter will last another six weeks, and if not, spring is just around the corner.
