Puerto Rico was hit by a power outage on New Year’s Eve after a power grid failure




A massive power outage hit nearly all of Puerto Rico early Tuesday as the US territory prepared to celebrate the New Year. The local power distribution company blamed an underground power line failure, and officials said it could take up to two days to restore power.
