The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is reportedly set to sign the biggest commercial deal in the history of Pakistan cricket. The league’s media rights for the four-year cycle from 2026 to 2029 have reportedly been sold for Rs 2,600 crore, making it the most valuable broadcast deal the PSL has ever secured.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently opened a tender for a portfolio of television and digital streaming rights for the Pakistani market. With the addition of two new teams, the number of games per season will increase from 34 to 44, adding even more value to the deal.

According to journalist Saleem Khaliq, Walee Technologies has acquired the media rights to the event for four years. He said the media rights of the league for four years have been sold for Rs 2,600.

Despite record revenue from the Pakistani market, the Pakistan Super League operates on a much smaller financial scale than similar cricket leagues across the border.
The PCB was forced to adjust its tournament schedule for the second consecutive year. It is worth noting that the league is usually held between February and March, but now this window is occupied by the ICC T20 World Cup, pushing the event to the March to May period.
Walee Technologies acquires Multan franchise with record bid
Walee Technologies has secured ownership of the Multan concession after submitting a record winning bid of PKR 2.45 billion. A total of five technically qualified bidders participated in the auction: Walee Technologies, Aim Next, Particle Igniter, CD Ventures and DSM.
The franchise was auctioned at a base price of Rs 182 crore, following a bidding round that was ultimately won by Walee Technologies. After the acquisition, the Sultanate of Multan was relocated and renamed Rawalpindi. The team’s franchise price was INR 2.45 billion, making it one of the largest deals in the history of the league.
Rawalpindi will now serve as new members of the Pakistan Super League for the 2026 season. The competition is scheduled to start on March 26.
PCB Awards PSL 2026 Global Media Rights Awarded to Walee Technologies
The Pakistan Cricket Board has awarded global broadcast rights and digital media rights for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League to Walee Technologies. The one-year PSL 2026 contract is worth Rs 88 crore.
The agreement gives Walee Technologies control of all international media rights for the season (except for the Indian market). The deal represents a 149% increase compared to the previous rights cycle.
PCB has decided not to sell the broadcast rights of PSL 11 in India. The decision was taken due to ongoing tensions with the ICC and the previous suspension of coverage by Indian broadcasters during the tournament.
