Einbinder elaborated on her speech, signing a commitment to not work for an Israeli company suspected of war earlier this month, and he said the issue was close to her heart for many reasons.
“I feel it is my duty as a Jew to distinguish Jews from the State of Israel because our religion and culture are so important and long-standing… institutions, completely separate from this nationalist state,” she said.
Earlier, Spanish actor Javier Bardem said in a red carpet interview that he could not work with any “reasonable or pro-genocide” film studio in Gaza.
“That’s simple,” Badham said.
