A trans service member described the move as “the latest slap in the face” to serve the troops with respect.
“If the remaining questions are left, there is no longer any more: Trans service members no longer have the right to the same health care standards as their peers,” the service staff told Reuters.

A memo released last week showed that Heggs issued instructions to start kicking out trans troops who did not voluntarily leave before June 6.
Shortly after Trump returned to the White House, he signed an executive order in January that reversed a Biden administration policy that allowed transgender troops to serve.
Officials say there are 4,240 active and National Guard transgender forces in the U.S., although some trans rights advocates say the number may be higher.
