“We need to be more consistent, more focused and kill the game. Today it happened again. Tomorrow we need to look at ourselves and see where we need to improve.”

Asked if it was a missed opportunity for his side, he added: “Yes, of course. Not only today but in other games at home we have dropped points.

“If you want to be in the Champions League, you can’t drop points like this.”

Rosenier will have been pleased with what he saw from his side for most of the encounter after taking 20 shots compared to Leeds’ four, with Pedro particularly lively as he scored his sixth goal in eight games.

The Brazilian added: “I try to improve every day and show what I’m capable of – but I have a lot to improve.”

Farke: We are a decent Premier League side

Leeds boss Daniel Farke was delighted with a comeback courtesy of goals from Lucas Nemecha and Noah Okafor as they kept themselves six points clear of the drop zone.

He added that the result was another that proved the Yorkshire side belong in the Premier League as he set his sights on establishing them as a mainstay over the next few years.

Farke said: “We’ve shown this all season and we’ve proved that we’re a proper Premier League side and we want to get the points to play in this league for a long time.

“We want to be an established Premier League side in a few years and we are well on our way to achieving that this season.

The boys did us proud. Chelsea, of course, were the dominant side and created more chances and won the stats – but I think we fought too hard for this point.

“It’s a well-deserved point and I’m very proud of the boys.”
