The addition of bloodline advantages to Path of Exile’s League of Guardians adds a whole new way to build, many of which are buildable. Through Mirage League, Grinding Gear Games is making changes based on community feedback and popularity. The rework that broke Lord’s Bloodline was mostly due to game mechanics.

That said, many of the changes look great on paper. However, if you’re having a hard time understanding what’s going on, this guide will explain every change to bloodline in Path of Exile Patch 3.28and their previous effects.

Changes to all bloodline advantages in Path of Exile 3.28

Orr ancestry

Changes to Orr’s bloodline affect the king’s legacy passive. Initially, the aura effects of King’s Might, King’s Legacy, and King’s Contempt will take effect if you have no Frenzy Charges or have reached the maximum number of Frenzy Charges.

Following the update, you now need to have a minimum number of Fury, Stamina, or Energy Orbs, instead of none, in order to apply one of the effects. This means you can’t simply activate skills and hold them in order to gain buffs from aura skills.

The passive otherworldly appendage on the Destruction Lord bloodline has been renamed to Cryo. Since grafts are unavailable in Path of Exile patch 3.28, noteworthy effects are being modified to add something new and usable.

When you equip a specific graft, it provides various defensive buffs against elemental attacks. Once updated, it will grant two buffs, only one of which can be used at a time. These are:

  • If Intelligence is your single highest stat, all additional damage is treated as additional lightning damage
  • If Dexterity is your single highest stat, all additional damage is treated as additional cold damage

Catalina bloodline

Catalina Bloodlines don’t just change numerically. Long Servitude will increase the damage done by minions at low health from 15% to 20%. Join the Minion Lovers in Path of Exile Phantom League5% damage will help a lot.

crazy bloodline

Similar to Katarina, Bloodlines of Madness only received balance changes. The foggy shadow left behind is not me! The passive’s base duration is increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds, while maximum health is reduced from 10% to 5%.

As the new Path of Exile update is buffing minions, the Falur bloodline is reaping its effects. Primal Roar now allows you to reach the 80% cap faster by increasing each minion’s attack speed from 2% to 4%. Additionally, the Hunt Leader passive Ghost Tiger now has 50% less maximum health, but deals more damage and increases attack speed.

Lycia blood

Sinni Saints in Lycian Blood passively converts 50% of all elemental damage into Chaos. After the update, I’d say the percentage will go up to 67%, but if you like playing chaos-based damage, the damage numbers should go up significantly.

nameless bloodline

For Nameless Bloodlines, the 20% bonus Chaos damage gained by passively using the skill’s Silhouette health drain is now 25%. Passive skills’ secondary ability to increase their health cost equal to their base mana cost remains unchanged.

The Orros bloodline is the most changed bloodline in Path of Exile Phantoms. All noteworthy passive skills have received significant buffs, so let’s review them one by one.

  • In Rune Favor, Mountain Favor now reduces the damage dealt by DoTs by 50%, up from 30%, when you have Indestructible Wards. Although Solar Boon now increases the ward regeneration rate of each enemy recently attacked from 20% to 30%.
  • The ward-crushing skill granted by the Volatile Rune now deals 200% increased damage, up from 80%, if the ward has not been destroyed within the past 2 seconds. The enchantment now only deals 160% to 240% of the base spell’s physical damage from 250% to 300%, but the cooldown is reduced from 0.5 seconds to 0.15 seconds. The skill also no longer applies a nerf to you, meaning no more movement and recovery issues.
  • Finally, Enhanced Starlight increases the armor armor amount from 40% to 70%.

Osabe ancestry

The Vivid Cat passive skill in Osabi Bloodline now no longer gives you 50% increased invisibility while you are elusive, but instead provides 50% increased marking while you are elusive.
