Ramos shared A clip from her Instagram From her interviews with pronatalist activists. The pronatalist movement believes that modern civilization is experiencing a devastating decline in birth rates and that this must be reversed by encouraging people to have more children. Ramos warned in her Instagram caption, “The far right is once again launching a campaign to encourage people to have more kids. Remember, Trump said he wanted to be a ‘baby president.'”

“They, yes, they have a different fertility window, they have a higher rate of fertility complications—” he began.
“But there’s no scientific evidence that black women and white women are genetically different, right? It’s like —” Ramos began.
“What are you talking about!?” shouted the neuroscientist. “Like, literally, there are genes coding for their skin color!”
“It’s like, government data, this isn’t me, this is the NIH, this is the American Medical Association, there’s no scientific evidence for this,” Ramos claimed.
Malcolm rejected this claim.

“What you’re saying is factually incorrect,” Malcolm said. “Humans are genetically diverse, and humans being genetically diverse is not a bad thing.”
“I’m not saying it’s a bad thing or a good thing, I’m just saying there’s no scientific evidence,” Ramos said.
“There’s scientific evidence, there’s overwhelming scientific evidence,” Malcolm said. “It’s like saying the sky isn’t blue. Like, it’s the genes that code for their skin color, right? Those genes are clearly different in them than they are in us. How is that not science? It’s like a basic fact. The genes that code for their skin color, their level of melanin production, are different than my genes.”
“That’s exactly why I asked the question,” Ramos replied. “Because I think for some people, like you, who believe that people are genetically different, that’s been used historically to promote racial hierarchies, right? That’s why I’m asking you.”
