In view of the outcomes of the multilateral discussions and the requests of friendly countries, the Government of Pakistan hereby directs the Pakistan National Cricket Board cricket team to take the field on February 15, 2026, for scheduled matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”

“Furthermore, this decision has been taken to protect the spirit of cricket and support the continuity of this global sport in all participating countries.”

However, Islam revealed that the BCB requested the PCB to allow Pakistan to play against India on February 15 for the benefit of the entire cricket ecosystem.
