One area where the BlackShark V3 Pro particularly impressed me was the sound isolation and active noise-cancelling. Although these are not always unique features of gaming headsets, they are made for serious gaming, so tuning out any additional noise, whether that’s a cheering stadium or a barking dog, will help you give an edge as the end of your round. That approach makes the headset’s spatial audio work more efficiently, which I find is perfect for games where a certain level of assistance is helpful. Tense first-person shooters and battle royale games benefit from a sharper, more detailed response. The biggest downside of all these features is that the BlackShark V3 Pro is quite heavy, more than 350 grams for the model with ANC. They are not as comfortable as my favorite overall choice, the Steelseries Arctis Nova 3but the sound quality and the feature set here are richer.
