While there are certainly preferable models with higher brightness and price tags to match, we think the QM6K offers a balanced image at a good price point. It has exceptional black levels that help create a deep, high-contrast image. The panel is also remarkably uniform, with almost no blooming across the screen. It retains more detail in darker areas, even with the Dolby Vision Dark preset. Colors are natural and vivid, adding to the realism and immersion of the experience.

It’s also great for gaming, with a refresh rate you can push up to 144 Hz, and you get VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) on two of the four HDMI ports. Speaking of ports, TCL includes a separate port just for eARC, which means you can save the valuable HDMI 2.1 ports for your game consoles. TCL even announced a new “Zero-Delay Transient Response” mode that will ensure your games are completely lag-free.

It also uses Google TV, which is one of the more user-friendly and intuitive interfaces available. It even has a hands-free Google assistant, if you always have trouble searching remotely. In addition to the full suite of Google TV apps, it’s compatible with plain old Chromecast and Apple AirPlay.

The most reasonable 65-inch version of the screen is now marked down to $530 at Best Buybut if you dream a little bigger, there is something similar $500 off the 75-inch version which brings the price to $800. You can too save $900 on the extra-large 85-inch modelbut if you’re thinking of going that big, you can check out some of our other favorite TVs first for more premium options.
