The 35-year-old leg-spinner believes Bumrah’s “unmatchable” nature will once again be the deciding factor in India’s title defense on the subcontinent circuit between India and Sri Lanka.

Although Chahal overlooked him for the Player of the Tournament award, he did show immense faith in Abhishek by selecting him as the best batsman of the tournament. Furthermore, Chahal made a bold tactical prediction on the scoring trend of the tournament, setting 240 as the highest possible team total, indicating that he expects some extremely high-scoring games despite spin-friendly conditions in the host country.
