Newsom spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last month, expressing concern that “free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of expression” are all under attack due to the Trump administration.

“They are reviewing historical facts, they are rewriting history,” he added, claiming the government canceled an event where the governor was supposed to speak.
