Derek Meyer led the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl title this year. The Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.

As Meyer emerges this season, FS1 analyst Nick Wright claims the Patriots quarterback could cincinnati tigers signal caller Joe BurrowBecome one of the top five quarterbacks in the league.

“No. 5, this one makes me sad, I like the guy,” Wright said Friday on “First Things First.” “Joe Burrow, if Derek Meyer wins the Super Bowl, Joe Burrow won’t be in your top five anymore.”

Wright later said his top five quarterbacks in the NFL would be Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Matthew Stafford and Meyer.

Burrow, a three-time Pro Bowler, led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl title in 2022. However, his team lost at the final hurdle to the Los Angeles Rams.

Although Burrow led Cincinnati to the playoffs twice in his six years in the league, the team has not made the playoffs in the past three seasons.

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye wins MVP runner-up this season

Patriots quarterback Meyer was the runner-up for MVP this season, behind winner Matthew Stafford.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stafford received 24 first-place votes and finished with 366 points. Meyer, meanwhile, received 23 first-place votes and scored 361 points.

This year’s MVP voting was the closest since 2003, when Peyton Manning and Steve McNair tied for the individual award.

Still, Meyer’s goal is to get a Super Bowl ring by the end of the season.
