Nick Fuentes shares his thoughts on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. He said he understood every word of the performance, adding that it looked like where he grew up in Mexico.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, faced backlash from conservatives after it was announced he would headline the Super Bowl halftime show. The Puerto Rican singer performed at halftime at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, delivering a message of unity and singing his Spanish song.
Many conservatives lashed out at the singer, claiming they didn’t understand a word of his songs. However, Nick Fuentes put forward a different statement during the live broadcast, saying:
“The greatest Super Bowl halftime show of the 21st century. I thought it was awesome. I understood every word, and I don’t know what everyone was complaining about. People were saying, ‘I didn’t understand a word of the Super Bowl halftime show. This is ours. This is not America.’ And I was like, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I understood every word he said. I totally get it.”
“I thought, this looks exactly like the neighborhood I grew up in. I thought, that’s so relatable. Sugar cane, nail art, and, you know, salsa dancing. I thought, that looks like where I’m from. I thought, those look like my parents. Those look like my family,” he added.
Fuentes later said he was joking and his comments were “anger bait.” At the same time, he appeared to take a jibe at the halftime show of Turning Point USA, which featured Kid Rock. He further questioned the arguments of the “other side,” calling them “idiots.”
Piers Morgan and Gavin Newsome praise Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance

While the likes of Donald Trump slammed the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show, most others praised Bad Bunny’s performance. The Puerto Rican singer also hosted Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin on the show. A billboard behind him read this message:
“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
Donald Trump slammed the show in a post on The Truth Society, calling it “horrible” and “the worst ever”. He also claimed that the songs were in Spanish and “no one understood a word.” However, Piers Morgan expressed his disagreement with the US president, writing on X (formerly Twitter):
“Couldn’t agree more, Mr. President. I absolutely loved Bad Bunny’s halftime show. Amazing (best in Super Bowl history?) theatrics/choreography, tremendous energy, extremely confident performance, and a very welcome unifying message. Oh, and Spanish is the first language of over 50 million Americans!”
California Governor Gavin Newsom also praised the Puerto Rican singer, writing on X:
“America, the beautiful. Thank you, Bad Bunny.”
Dortch, Kacey Musgraves and Meghan McCain, among others, also posted their support on their social media channels. Zach Bryan also praised the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show and mocked Kid Rock’s alternative show, organized by Turning Point USA.
Meanwhile, in the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13.
