It sounds like Micah Parsons is considering poaching some Dallas Cowboys. After the Green Bay Packers linebacker called for George Pickens to jump to Lambeau Field, that’s what some thought. Pickens just completed his first season in Dallas with a career-high 1,429 receiving yards. Parsons was traded from the Cowboys to Green Bay before the start of the 2025 regular season.
Parsons said this to Pickens on his podcast “The Edge” on Saturday.

Parsons got into a contract dispute with Jerry Jones before the start of last season, and Cowboys ownership ultimately sent him to their arch-rival Packers. Many believe that due to the escalating relationship between Jones and Parsons and the latter’s departure from Dallas, Parsons’ goal is to stay connected to his former team by drafting stars from Team USA and trying to get them to join Green Bay.
Some are excited about the prospect of Parsons and Pickens possibly becoming teammates.
The Packers have made the playoffs each of the past three seasons. However, they won just one playoff game during that time and did not advance to the divisional round. There is belief that a player like Pickens would be a huge help to a team that appears to be in need of help at receiver. Last season, their top receiver was Romeo Dubs with 724 yards.
Parsons Recruitment
With the Packers’ season over, recruiting mode appears to have begun in Green Bay, and not just with scouts and staff. Packers quarterback Jordan Love admitted that Pro Bowl players are recruiting new talent to the team. Both Parsons and Pickens were selected to this year’s Pro Bowl.
Love said Pickens is a good player and they would be happy to keep him in Green Bay. Love hasn’t faced a receiver with over 1,000 yards since Aaron Rodgers took over as the starting quarterback. In fact, the last Packers receiver to reach that mark was Allen Lazard during the 2022 season.
Parsons apologized to Cowboys fans on his podcast on Saturday, saying he was rumored to be traded to the Eagles before moving to Green Bay. almost happened. Pickens could be available this offseason after completing a four-year contract with the Steelers in Dallas last season.
However, Cowboys ownership is said to be interested in keeping him in Dallas long-term.
