“Ah. Why announce this now? It’s frustrating that players and coaches now have to deal with constant inquiries about this while they already have a ton of disruption in the coming week,” a fan explain.
“Classic Robert Kraft leaking information like this before a game to get out of the opponent’s mindset. The Patriots are definitely still the Patriots,” another fan explain.
“I hope this news comes after the Super Bowl,” another fan additional.
NFL insider quashes Seattle Seahawks sale rumors
National Football League Network’s Ian Rapoport shared a statement on Friday from a spokesperson for the Paul G. Allen estate denying the reports by Wickersham and Henderson.
“We do not comment on rumors or speculation, and the team is not for sale. We have said that will change at some point based on Paul’s wishes, but I have no news to share. Our focus right now is winning a Super Bowl and completing the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers in the next few months.”
Allen, who bought the Seattle Seahawks in 1997, hopes to sell the team and donate the proceeds to charity after his death. Last year, Jordy sold the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers to a group led by Tony Dundon, while the Seahawks sale took longer to complete.
