NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was grilled about the league potentially investigating and disciplinary action against New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch over his correspondence. Jeffrey Epstein.
Goodell said during a press conference with NFL media before Super Bowl LX on Monday that he would let the truth come out before the league takes any action against Tisch and Epstein.
“Of course, we will consider all the facts,” Goodell said. “We’re going to look at all the context of these. We’re going to try to understand this and look at how it fits into policy. I think we’re taking it one step at a time. Let’s get the facts first.”

Goodell was asked to specify whether The league is investigating Investigate the letters and whether the league is concerned that other NFL owners may be connected to Epstein in some way.
“I don’t even know the status of all the versions,” he said. “I know three million documents were released last week. So, listen, we’re going to continue to look at any facts that come out and we’ll make a decision based on those facts whether to open an investigation.”
The commissioner was then asked if he was concerned about the impact of the Epstein scandal on the league.
“Of course, but that’s why we have a personal conduct policy and that’s why we investigate the facts,” he said.

Some emails exchanged between Epstein and Tish appear to show the two discussing women.
One tip from April 2023 shows Tish asking Epstein if an unnamed woman was “a relative or a civilian.” Epstein said his team contacted the woman. He later added that she wanted to go to the theater with Tisch but was “terrified by the age difference.”
Another exchange in June 2013 suggested a possible meeting between Tisch and Epstein in New York.
The Tisch family owns approximately 45% of the Giants. He took over the team in 2005 after his father purchased a majority stake in the team in 1991.
On August 10, 2019, Epstein was found dead in his cell at a Manhattan federal prison. It was later ruled a suicide. He faces up to 45 years in prison for crimes related to sex trafficking of minors.
Tisch released a statement through the Giants on Friday as the emails came to light.

“We had a brief relationship, exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition we discussed movies, philanthropy and investments. I did not accept any of his invitations and have never been to his island. We all know now that he is a horrible person and I deeply regret being associated with him,” Tisch said.
