James Pearce Jr. was arrested in Florida on Saturday in connection with a domestic dispute. The Atlanta Falcons defensive end allegedly got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend, Los Angeles Sparks guard Rickey Jackson.

“SLATER SCOOP: Law enforcement sources tell me that James Pearce Jr. is accused of intentionally ramming his Lamborghini into his ex-girlfriend’s car multiple times in an attempt to prevent her from heading to the police station. The incident led to a police pursuit of the NFL star,” Slater tweeted.

NFL analyst Hayden Winks retweeted the news and provided a reality check following Pierce’s arrest.

Pierce was booked on turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 6:58 p.m., ESPN reported.

The report also mentioned that Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez confirmed to reporters that the so-called dispute was between Pierce and Jackson. Lopez added that the defensive end was arrested after fleeing the alleged dispute and smashing up the vehicle during a police pursuit.
