Longtime NBC host and former host of “Meet the Press” Chuck Todd is reportedly meeting with other media organizations and plans to leave the network.

“Chuck Todd has been quietly meeting with Washington media outlets to discuss his future after NBC,” Semafu reports Sunday.

The report continued that Todd, 52, told “senior editors and leaders at other media organizations that he plans to leave NBC when his contract expires this year and discussed potential roles outside the network in broadcast and digital media.”

Todd was the host of NBC’s flagship Sunday show “Meet the Press” before being replaced by Kristen Welker in 2023 after nine years as host, before he rose to prominence on the network. dropped significantly.

“Let me address the elephant in the room,” Todd told Welker in March. “I think our owner should apologize to you for putting you in this situation because I didn’t know what to believe.”

Todd said he didn’t know if any of McDaniel’s answers to Welker were because she didn’t want to “mess up” her new contract.
