Kyle Busch currently leads the Truck Series all-time wins list with 67 wins and a series-best average of 6.7. He leads the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with 102 wins. Many believe Busch’s dominance contributed to NASCAR’s decision to restrict Cup drivers to the lower divisions. In the past two years alone, the 40-year-old driver has three wins in 10 Truck Series starts with Spire Motorsports.
Kyle Busch talks about his 2026 Truck Series schedule
In an official team press release, Kyle Busch outlined the work to develop the expanded Truck Series schedule. It’s worth noting that this will be Busch’s second and third year driving a Spire Motorsports truck.
“I’m glad that after NASCAR revised the ‘Kyle Busch Rule,’ I was able to work with Jeff (Dixon, owner), Brian (Patty, crew chief) and everyone at Spire Motorsports to create the rules to increase the number of races allowed this year to eight. With the schedule we’ve put in place, I’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot of wins at most tracks, but in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, there are a few races that I haven’t won yet and will look to add to the win list,” he said via Spiremotorsports.com
Kyle Busch is currently going through a two-year winless streak in the Cup Series. His closest finishes last year were fifth-place finishes at Phoenix, Chicago and COTA.
NASCAR insider David Styles recently gave Busch a brutal reality check and predicted that “he was finished” for the sport. He believed Busch couldn’t overcome the issues with the RCR equipment and that his only chance of winning would be at a superspeedway or through a fluke.
