In the nearby town of Pozzuoli, near the epicenter of the earthquake, a wounded man was pulled out of the ruins of partially collapsed houses.

According to Italian media reports, Thursday’s earthquake was felt in several areas of the Campania region.
There are at least two weaker aftershocks after the tremor.
People were seen leaving their homes and gathering on the streets of Naples, fearing more tremors.
The photos that appear later show a damaged house and a car with a windshield crash.
A rescue coordination center has been established to assess damage.
According to Corriere Della Sera, schools in Pozzuoli and two nearby communities will be closed on Thursday so that building stability inspections can be conducted.
