Leeds Rhinos’ Micah Silver scored four tries as his side beat Hull KR 56-8 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

A total of 35,500 tickets were sold for the AFL, with Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR fans making up a large proportion and their voices were by far the loudest as they demonstrated the intense passion that the Super League has to offer.

Leeds Rhinos led throughout the first half, leading 28-0 after 40 minutes through shots from Brodie Croft, Keenan Palacia and Ryan Hall, as well as Siwo’s double, Jack Connor’s behind-the-scenes play and four shots from five kicks.

Leeds continued where they left off in the second half, with Siwo’s third and fourth tries, plus Croft’s second, and a couple of shots from Cooper Jenkins helping them to victory. 56 points, Connor also arranged things perfectly.

Hull KR managed to score a consolation try through Joe Burgess but it was a performance that brought them back down to earth after their World Cup Challenge win over the Brisbane Broncos as they remain without a Super League win after two rounds.

Siwo scored twice on his Leeds debut and once again showed off his skills on the Las Vegas stage. He used his power to send the Rhinos faithful into chaos in the 11th and 16th minutes, with Connor converting both into a 12-0 advantage.

Just seven minutes later it was Croft’s turn to use his dancing footwork to get under the sticks and Connor paved the way with a brilliant 40/20 to give his side an 18-0 advantage.

Frankly, KR’s performance was all over the place, with poor handling and mistakes keeping them firmly in the hole.

Things got worse in the 29th minute when Palacia blocked Tyrone May’s reach and scored, Connor passed the ball and the Rhinos led 24-0.

Their game wasn’t over yet. After receiving a short pass, Siwo made a massive breakthrough in the frontcourt and was stopped not far from the free throw line. After that, the Rhinos used a curve pass to pass the ball to the other side, allowing Hall to step forward and lead 28-0.

Leeds United continued to maintain their advantage after the rematch, and Hull KR’s poor defense cost them dearly.

First, in the 51st minute, Croft danced for a second time and Harry Newman had a huge celebration in front of the Hull KR fans.

Leeds then scored a hat-trick by passing the ball to Seawo after the always-reliable Tom Davies took the penalty. With more than 20 minutes left in the game, Conner made two free throws to give his team a 40-0 lead.

Jenkins then decided to get in on the try-scoring action and like the London Buses he was given two buses which were converted by Chris Hankinson to complete their demolition job against the newly crowned World Club Champions.

Man of the match Micah Siwo.

“We focused all week to come out here and make a statement, and we did that.

“The kids, we each did our job, so that’s good.

“I always say, as wingers, our job is to finish those chances, so that’s what I did.

“Brad (Arthur) is very strict with me at the same time. He’s like a father figure to me, so it’s good to have someone like that by your side, supporting you through your highs and your lows.

“We’re going to keep going week by week and hopefully keep winning and keep celebrating.”
