A clinical bowling performance helped New Zealand restrict UAE to 173/6 in 20 overs. Apart from Sharaf, skipper Muhammad Waseem top-scored with an unbeaten 66 off 45 deliveries, which included 3 sixes and 4 boundaries.

New Zealand will now look to make it two consecutive wins against UAE in the 2026 T20 World Cup. They defeated Afghanistan by five wickets in their last match. The UAE, on the other hand, will look to take inspiration from Nepal, the United States and the Netherlands and launch a fierce challenge to the New Zealand team in an attempt to create an upset.
