Manchester United Talks have now reportedly begun to sign a young midfield gem who has been compared to Manchester City legend Yaya Toure.
Amorim aims to tap Manchester United youth prospects
Before the game against Bournemouth hit the headlines, Ruben Amorim He has found himself at the center of several debates after naming three academy players in an unexpected rant.
The United boss has been questioned for his sparse use of Kobe Minu this season, with the midfielder’s brother even turning up at Old Trafford on Monday night wearing a “Free Kobe Minu” T-shirt. However, Amorim’s reaction against Bournemouth was ruthless and has divided opinion since.
he explain: “Just like any other player, the door is open for any player to change his mind. But at the end of the day, it’s going to be practices, games… Of course, he didn’t play that many games, but Kobe had opportunities, especially last year.
“Everyone has… (Harry) Armas is struggling in the Championship now (at Sheffield Wednesday).
“Chido (Obi) wasn’t always a starter for the U21s. All these guys came on at a time when a lot of people were saying ‘fire the manager’, so you can see I’m not worried. I’m just watching the team, trying to win the next game and trying to think about the team. I’ll do that until the end.”
If recent reports are anything to go by, Mainoo is one of those who could leave in January, on loan for at least the remainder of the season, with reports from the likes of Bayern Munich.
But what the young midfielder should be most worried about is Amorim’s admiration for Christ Inao Ulay – another young midfielder who could end Mainu’s Old Trafford career entirely.
Manchester United open talks to sign Inao Olai
According to TeamTalk, Manchester United have now opened talks to sign Inaoelebuilding connections in an attempt to defeat rivals Manchester City.
The 19-year-old Trabzonspor midfielder has reportedly been compared to Yaya Toure by the Ivorian due to his impressive performances and ability to score and create goals.
Inao Ulay was branded a “great” prospect by scout Jacek Kulig earlier this week and could offer Amorim the young midfielder he prefers over Mainu, who continues to watch from the bench.
However, before the Red Devils can consider welcoming the 19-year-old, they must first fend off interest from Manchester City, who are seeking the next Toure.
