Manchester United are planning a financially lucrative post-season tour of Malaysia which could earn them £7.96m.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United took part in an increasingly routine post-season tour at the end of 2023/24, facing each other in Melbourne, Australia just three days after the Premier League campaign ended.
According to The AthleticMan Utd are planning to do the same following the climax of the current campaign and will travel to Malaysia to maximize profits and comply with both the Premier League and UEFA’s financial fair play rules.
Plans are still being formalized and any friendly opponents are currently unknown, but the Red Devils will visit Malaysia soon after the end of the current season. The final round of Premier League matches will take place on May 25, with both the Europa League and FA Cup finals coming before the top flight’s conclusion. Ruben Amorim’s side will host Aston Villa on the final day.

Australian-based company TEG Sports, along with a local Malaysian promoter, are helping organize the trip, with Man Utd club sources saying no plans have been finalized as things stand.
Man Utd have been looking for ways to cut costs and raise funds since the arrival of minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who Canceled the club’s annual Christmas party In an effort to reduce costs for 2024.
Ratcliffe recently increased his stake in Man UT with a fresh cash injection. A £79m investment in the club In which his ownership share increased to 28.94%.
