Scrolling through your Recent calls tab to find the right call on your iPhone can be frustrating. But with this iOS 18 hack, you can find that call faster in your recent call history.

Apple released iOS 18 in September, and the update includes many new features, such as a customizable home screen and RCS messaging. It also introduces a search bar in your iPhone’s Phone app that allows you to easily search your call history and voicemails. Before iOS 18, the Recent calls tab in your Phone app was a running list of all calls made to and from your iPhone. But now you can easily search the list, so you don’t have to scroll through it.

With iOS 18, yes. To search for your recent calls, go to your Phone app and tap NEW across the bottom of the menu. Tap the search bar at the top of the page to open a new menu that shows sections Calls and Voicemails. Both of these options also have the option of See All.

You can use the search bar to search for a specific contact’s name, contact number or date. For example, typing “mom” or “dad” will retrieve all phone calls and voicemails from your mom or dad, as well as their contact card. Similarly, typing “August” or “July” in the search bar will retrieve all calls and voicemails from that month.

You can also type in a specific date, such as “July 5,” and that will retrieve calls and voicemails from that particular date.
