Match preview for Hull vs Chelsea
It will be an emotional occasion for Liam Rosenier when he goes back Hull with Chelsea Tomorrow night, however, the Blues boss says he will field a strong side hoping to knock his former employers out of the FA Cup.
Rosenier spent five years as a player with the Tigers before returning as head coach in 2022. He was sorely missed guiding them to the Championship play-offs in the 2023/24 season before being sacked.
He rebuilt his career at Strasbourg, who, like Chelsea, are owned by Blueco, paving the way for him to take over at Stamford Bridge last month.
Rosenier has made a strong start in west London, although his last Premier League game saw him lose a 2-0 lead and draw 2-2 with a low lead.

The 41-year-old is relishing his return to Humberside.
He said: “Hull City is very special to me. My grandmother was a season ticket holder. I’ve got my family to go up because the club means so much to me for so many reasons. Hopefully we can put on a really good show, it would be amazing to go back.
“Without Hull, without the experience of being there as a player and as a manager, I wouldn’t be sitting here. I have a lot to thank the club for and I had a fantastic time both as a player and as a coach.
“It’s really good to see them doing so well in the league. It’s a great club, great people, great fans, a great city. Going back will be emotional for me.”
That’s not to say Rosenier will put previous ties in the way of Chelsea progressing to the fifth round.
“It will be a tough game and I want to do well in this competition,” he added. “I don’t look at it any differently to a Premier League game or a Champions League game.
“We will go there with a team that I think will be good enough to win this game. I will want to take this game really seriously. We have to because they are in good form and used to winning games at this point.”
Hull enjoyed a good season under Sergej Jakirović with the Croatian side sitting fourth in the Championship.
They come into the Chelsea clash on the back of defeat, however, after going at home to Bristol City last weekend.

Charlie Hughes and Manchester United loanee Toby Collier are both doubts for Hull. Cody Drameh is fit again while new signings Paddy McNair, Kieran Dowell, Louis Koumas and Yu Hirakawa should all feature at some stage.
Chelsea will be without Mark Cucurella but Reece James could play. Central defender Mamadou Sarr, recalled from his loan deal at Strasbourg, is in line to start.
Enzo Fernandez is likely to be rested.
