Leeds vs Arsenal Match Preview
Premier League leaders Arsenal are on the road as they take their narrow four-point lead to Leeds this weekend.
Last weekend was spectacular 3-2 loss at home to Manchester United Manchester City and Aston Villa have potentially opened the door and Mikel Arteta’s side cannot afford to drop any more points at Elland Road.
Leeds have never won a Premier League home game against a team that started the day top of the table but Daniel Farke’s side have a solid proposition these days and have lost just one of their last six games.
Four of those have been drawn, so Arteta could be in for a disappointing afternoon in Yorkshire.
Arsenal won eight out of eight in the Champions League league stage in midweek.
“I am very proud of the players and the run we made in the first phase of the competition,” Arteta said.
“It’s very difficult to win eight matches in a row in the Champions League and you can see what has happened to other teams.
“We really need to accept that, but it is what it is, and now the competition closes. We will have a period of reflection, and then prepare for our next opponents, and go game by game.”
