Leeds United are overcoming difficulties and are currently expected to remain in the Premier League this season. Daniel Falk Reacted well under tremendous pressure and switched to a back three, which increased defensive stability and posed a direct threat to the team.
They will hope to continue this form, which has seen them climb to 16th in the Premier League table. ESPN reporter Bill Connolly is one person they were proven wrongwho previously predicted they would finish 18th in the standings and return to the championship immediately.
To keep things up, the Whites look set to make some moves in the January transfer window.
Leeds United in talks to sign Serie A starlet
The Whites are clearly looking to add some creativity to their squad in the coming weeks and months. One of the players linked with Elland Road is Fulham star Harry Wilson’s contract expires at the end of the season.
In addition to Wilson, there are TuttoMercatoWeb reports They are competing for Como midfielder Martin Baturina. Reports claim talks have taken place following “inquiries” about bringing the Croatian midfielder to West Yorkshire this winter.
Reports claim that the Serie A side are “considering a possible departure” with Baturlian ranked below Nico Paas.
It is unclear whether Cesc Fabregas’ side will sanction a loan move or allow him to leave permanently, but if the latter option is considered, a fee of £22 million (€25 million) may be enough.
How does Baturina compare to Aronson?
Baturina is only 22 years old and is playing in Europe’s top five leagues for the first time in his career, so he is highly regarded. Football scout Ben Martinson even described him as “One of the elite talents in world football”, while praising him as a “creative genius”.
Many of his best works came during his boyhood with Dinamo Zagreb, for whom he made 165 appearances. The Croatian international made a total of 15 appearances for the national team, scoring 22 goals and assisting 39 times, showing his talent in the midfield position.
However, this season has not been easy for Como’s number 20. He fell out of favor under Cesc Fabregas and struggled to displace the talented Paz from the first-choice team.
Baturina only played 13 times, playing an average of 4 90-minute games, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. He scored a stunning equalizer in Como’s most recent game.
If they were to complete this deal, Baturin could prove to be a huge upgrade Brenden Aronson.
While Falke is a fan of the Americans, he’s something of a Marmite player. Leeds legend Jon Newsome says He was “not good enough to play at Leeds United” last season.
On the surface, his numbers in the Premier League this season aren’t too bad.
Aaronson has four goals and three assists in 20 games.
However, the data suggests that Baturina will receive an offensive upgrade. For example, this season the Croatian youngster has averaged 1.94 key passes and 3.26 shot chances created per 90 minutes.
By comparison, Aaronson averages 1.38 key passes and 2.75 shot creations per game.

The Como star will certainly add more creativity to the final third than Aaronson, who has struggled to maintain consistency at times. Baturina is also able to play deeper as a number eight, adding another string to his bow.
For a transfer fee of just £22m, it could be a huge deal for the Whites and could see them improve their starting XI with such a highly rated youngster.
