Leeds United look set to make another move if certain aspects fall into place before the transfer window closes later on February 2. Daniel Farke’s side remain keen on Jorgen Strand-LarsenThere are reports that the Wolves striker may be in trouble with his move to Crystal Palace.
Leeds boss Farke did not close the door to more players ahead of his side’s 1-1 draw with Everton, but stressed any purchases would help his squad in the long term.
“We will consciously give ourselves the best possible lineup for the run-in, but we will only take action when we are 100% sure it is the right player.“.
Now, Leeds are being praised for their late push to secure one of the Bundesliga’s finest attacking talents.
Leeds United show interest in Wolfsburg star
According to reporters Nabil JerlitLeeds United are very interested in Wolfsburg forward Mohamed Amula and have been for some time.
Amoura, who has 42 caps for the Algerian national team, joined the German side on loan from League Saint-Gilius in 2024, with the deal made permanent after Amoura enjoyed an impressive first season in Germany.
The striker’s form has been largely unchanged this season, with seven goals in 17 appearances in the Bundesliga.
It was former Southampton player Ralph Hasenhüttl who brought Amora to Wolfsburg. The Austrian, who was sacked in 2025, was full of praise for his forwards.
“We know that Amora has incredible quality and it’s no surprise that he causes defensive problems, especially away from home.
“He has unbelievable speed and I better let him cause chaos up front. He is a real weapon for us.”
Despite his obvious ability, Amora was left out of Wolfsburg’s latest lineup because disciplinary issues. The absence has sparked rumors about his future and Leeds would not be opposed to signing another striker, as their pursuit of Strand Larsen has shown.
Joel Piroe has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, while recurring injuries to Lukas Nmecha have left Falke looking to provide more forward depth for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Although Leeds like Amora, they may find the deal difficult to complete, with Jerlett reporting that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the Algerian will finish the season at Wolfsburg. However, it would be an exciting addition if the Whites can agree a deal, or continue their pursuit this summer.
