Last Epoch Season 4 Release Details
Launch date: March 26, 2026
Seasonal mechanics: Broken Omen
The release date for Season 4 was confirmed alongside details of Season 5 and the Orobyss free expansion pack. Season 4 will be free to all existing players.
Seasonal Mechanism: Window of Omens

The core mechanic of Season 4 is Omen Windows, a new type of random encounter that can appear in Last Epoch’s campaign and endgame. Window of Omen is a crack in reality, associated with the despair of the observer. Entering the Omen window will enclose you in a circular arena and summon a void-based entity called the Omen.
The encounter is divided into three stages: First, the Omen is invulnerable and enhanced with elite broken enemies. To increase the encounter area, you must kill enemies within the ring. Once you’ve killed a decent number of enemies, the Omen will absorb any remaining enemies before you can attack it directly.
As the player progresses into the campaign, the corruption of the Stone of Destiny increases, and so does the Window of Omen difficulty level.
Window of Omens Reward
The new Window of Omens system introduces a variety of new reward systems. The details are as follows:
1) Rune of Corruption

Omens can drop corruption runes in the previous era. These are a new crafting material that corrupts your gear, giving them massive, unpredictable buffs that either improve the gear or destroy it. Corruption runs often grant unique modifiers that can only be obtained through them, making them a high-risk, high-reward mechanic.
2) Hourglass fragments
These are new currencies from the previous era that can be used to purchase Runes of Corruption and new Braided Echoes. Temporal Glass Shards can also be used in the endgame to access a powerful variation of the Omen Window, called the “Great Omen Window”. Completing a larger Window of Omens can improve the Window of Omens into a Timing Glass Core. This can be used to modify your Echo Web directly.
Improved endgame and echo chains

Final Age Season 4 adds the Echo Chain to the Stone of Destiny. This is specifically designed to reduce downtime and improve mapping processes. An echo chain is a set of linked echoes that appear in the overall timeline network.
This mechanism allows players to jump directly between Echoes without returning to the Monolith hub, reducing downtime between runs. These echo chains focus primarily on similar mechanics and end with a high-reward echo, similar to Tower of Conquest.
Players can also use the “Great Omen Window” encounter to add new knitting tree nodes or echo chain frequencies on the network.
Thief Class Update: New Skills
The thief class received two new skills in Last Age Season 4.
1) Shadow Tear

Shadow Tear is a new Rogue ability that can be used with bows and melee weapons. This is a high-cost, high-impact skill that is tied to the Shadow Toolkit of the Rogue class in Last Age.

Shadow Tear is a delayed attack; once used, the initial attack leaves a shadow, unleashing a devastating attack for a delayed period of time. This shadow persists and interacts with other shadow-based attacks.
2) Bladestorm

Bladestorm expanded from the popular Shadow Blade tree in Season 4 and became its own standalone skill. Bladestorm fires spinning blades at a specific target, shattering anything in its path, granting the ability to control mobs. Blade Storm combined with Shuriken Storm can deal massive amounts of sustained damage over a larger area.
The Bladestorm skill node offers a wide range of customizable options, and Umbral Blade will receive new changes following the removal of Bladestorm.

Changes to Spellblade Mastery
Spellblade Mastery will receive a major rework to improve mixed play styles for melee spellcasters.
- “Mana used for melee attacks will be converted into wards” changed to “30% of the additional melee damage on the weapon is also gained as additional spell damage.”. This completely changes the benefits gained from mastering the Spellblade in the previous era.

- Improved mana regeneration and sources added to the mana tree. This includes blade catheter (Casting a spell can stack up to 5 layers of Blade Conduit, and each layer will increase mana recovery) and Fire Drinker (Casting mana-consuming melee abilities now consumes all stacks of Fire Aura and restores mana per stack).

- New and improved spell trigger effects have been added to the Spellblade skill tree. These include thermopile (Killing an enemy directly with Fire Plunder will automatically cast Lightning Blast), ruthless winter (Hitting an enemy with Ice Spike has a 20% chance to cast Glacier), and scorched earth (Killing an enemy directly with Fire Plunder will cast a fireball to a random enemy within six meters).
In addition to this, Eleventh Hour Games will also release more details on how players can generate the game fire halo and changes made to the system.
Combat changes and animation improvements for Season 4
Last Epoch Season 4 promises improved enemy hit reaction animations. This means enemies will now visually react to each hit with additional animations. These include unique animations for each specific enemy type.
By adding more subtle animations to each enemy, combat is smoother and more visually responsive. this primitivist Receiving the full set of animations, followed by thief Also receives a full set of animations, including movement, idle and weapon throwing animations.
