The Electric Salt Spoon is a tool-shaped utensil designed to enhance the salty and umami flavor of low-sodium foods1, such as soups and curries, using low-voltage electricity. It was launched in May 20242. Developed in collaboration with Miyashita Laboratory by Prof. Homei Miyashita of the Department of Frontier Media Science, School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences, Meiji University, the product has a unique electrical waveform technology4 that increases the salinity of the bottom. -sodium foods approximately 1.5 times3.
