Kid Rock has hit back at critics who accused him of lip-syncing during his performance. Turning Point USA Halftime Show.

After claims flooded social media that his “Bawitdaba” performance didn’t match the video, the rocker shut it down via X.

“My halftime show was pre-recorded but performed live. There was no lip-syncing like the haters and fake news were trying to report. When they synced the camera to my performance in ‘Bawitdaba,’ it didn’t line up the way I explained in the video,” rock boy wrote.

In the accompanying video, he made it clear that the controversy was due to a production glitch, not a fake performance.

“That song was chaotic,” he begins to explain. “The first thing is, if I were to lip-sync — which I wasn’t — that would be the last song I had to bring to it. We’ve been performing this song on tour every night since 1998, the day it came out. So at the Turning Point event, they sent me the first clip and my comment was, ‘Sync is off.’ They were trying to line it up… It was very difficult for them because obviously there were people who weren’t very familiar with the song… We could have done it if we had more time.”

Within hours, clips of the performance were circulating online, with critics claiming the rock veteran wasn’t singing live.

Kid Rock says this statement is completely false.

“So I have nothing but good things to say — not just about The Turning Point, but the production team that worked with them,” he continued. “Nobody’s perfect and gets it right every time. But for the haters and trolls out there, that’s exactly what happens. Most of you know this, by the way…some people in the entertainment industry might see this and say, ‘Oh, sync is off.’ But they have to lie and say, ‘Oh, he’s lip-syncing.’ “The problem is people amplify this on the internet. I know most people don’t care at all, but some people just keep repeating it so people think it’s true.”

“It happens to both parties,” he added. “They did it to Bad Bunny, in his defense, when they said he said ‘You have four months to learn Spanish.'” He was on “Saturday Night Live,” and I thought he was joking. But they do it too often, especially in the fake news media. “

He doubled down on a previous appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” after host Laura Ingraham described the performance as “abnormal.”

“It’s out of sync,” Kid Rock said. “Actually, just to have some fun with the haters. I can’t answer all the trolls, but it’ll be fun. My DJ, who actually raps that song with me, he’s not fired up.”

“He’s flying to Nashville tonight. We’re going to perform it live in my living room and I’m going to put it out tomorrow and show people how it works,” he continued.

He believes that if he had actually lip-synced, the mistake would never have happened in the first place.

“If it’s pre-recorded, it’s really easy to sync.”

“I was jumping around the stage like a crazy monkey rapping my song and I was breathing heavily and my DJ was filling in the rest of it… I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, ‘You guys have to work on syncing up. It’s off,'” the musician said.

“It’s just a Sync issues They’ve done it, and I know they’ve tried to do it well. It’s very difficult,” he added.
