“I came here as the granddaughter of immigrants,” Deen said, holding up her Grammy. “I wouldn’t be here – I’m a product of bravery and I think these people need to be celebrated. So, yeah, we’re nothing without each other.”

Bad Bunny is scheduled to perform at next weekend’s Super Bowl LX halftime show, protesting immigration efforts while accepting a Grammy for Best Urbana Music Album for “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

“I believe music has the power to change my life and God has the power to change my life,” he continued. “Jesus is Jesus and anyone can have a relationship with Him.”

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with nine and picked up the award for Best Rap Album at the start of the live Paramount+ telecast. Following closely behind are Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff and Cirkut, who each received seven nominations.

Every Best New Artist nominee performed on Sunday, including Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, Katseye, The Marías, Addison Rae, sombr, Alex Warren and Lola Young.
