Kelly and Murtazhaliev both scored knockouts in a competitive match. In the fourth round, a jab from Kelly knocked Murtazhaliev off balance, leading to a count. Kelly then didn’t press the action and continued to move for the remainder of the round. In the ninth round, Murtazaliyev knocked Kelly to the ground with a left hand that knocked him to the ground, then he carefully landed shots to the clock.
Kelly found success early on with movement and counterattacks. He drew blood from Murtazariev’s nose in the second round and opened a small gash on Murtazariev’s left cheekbone in the sixth round. Murtazaliyev applied pressure throughout and came on strong in several rounds, especially late in the fight. Kelly hit a brief combination in the final round that seemed to affect the scoring.
In the chief support fight, Josh Padley defeated Jawad Bermedi at 2:35 of the second round to win the vacant EBU European Super Featherweight Championship. Padley dropped Bermehdi with a left hook midway through the round and then knocked down Bermehdi a second time with his right hand, causing a pause in the fight.
In the women’s event, IBF lightweight champion Elif Nur Turhan defeated Taylah Gentzen by split decision in 10 two-minute rounds. Turhan’s scores were 98-92 and 96-94, and Genzen won a card 97-93. Turhan was warned for rough tactics in the middle rounds. Gentzen suffered a minor cut from a head collision and was punching effectively from distance, but Turhan shut down strongly.
At lightweight, Josh Blenkiron defeated Robbie Coleman in 10 rounds to win the vacant BBBofC North Division lightweight title. The referee’s score was 96-95.
In the heavyweight bout, Leo Atang defeated Amine Boucetta at 0:39 of the third round of a four-way match. Atang was dominant throughout the fight, landing a left hook from his right hand that knocked Buscetta down, and then Buscetta was knocked out.
